The definition of the word, translucent according to Canwest/Canspell, (a small daily nugget found on the crossword and horoscope page in the Arts & Life section) is "not transparent but clear enough to allow light to pass through". My niece's skin was translucent, the night she died. Am I translucent, allowing the light to pass through me to others?
